There's nothing like doing the speed of traffic and having to down shift 3 sometimes even 4 gears to get out of the way of some car you're trying to avoid when on a 600cc bike. I'd also ride a 1000cc bike on the street any day over a 600cc bike. I'd ride a 600cc bike on the track any day over a 1000cc bike. I still want low end grunt coupled with plenty of power and torque high in the rev range.

I'm thinking maybe a ZX14 or Busa will fill the void nicely. I want sport bike only so that I can enjoy what the 919 is missing, but will keep the 919 because what I will gain in a super sport will also cause some trade offs compared to the 919. I was forced to improve my skills in order to try to keep up. I started on a 250 Ninja and then moved to a Katana 600 before the 919. I've found that guys that started riding on smaller bikes are often capable of pushing these bikes closer to their limit than guys who started on larger displacement bikes and rely on sheer horsepower in order to out run smaller bikes. A lot of guys with 1000 cc and up bikes are not skilled enough to squeeze all of the performance that is available out of their bike. I'm a realist, bike vs bike I should get my tail handed to me by almost everyone I ride with. The 919 is a really good street bike that can give a super sport a run for it's money.

Some guys here really need more than one bike (myself included). I am not a great rider yet.my chicken strips are still 1', down from 2' when l bought the bike last August.I've read a lot of threads about how the 919 does not stack up well against a super sport and I've drawn the following conclusions. When it is habit, then you can increase your speed and, ultimately, your lean. Practice cornering smoothly first and then it will become habit.

When l ride, l try to stay focused, scan the road, watch and take notice of things.a car just popped up on the right, a pedestrian wants to cross ahead, this oncoming car is turning left ahead.Staying focused keeps me in great control of my bike, so that when it comes time to corner, l am able to really maneuver through the corner well, see it through, give it the proper lean, and accelerate out of it smoothly. You will likely notice more wind at higher speeds and you may have more of an upright seating position. Essentially a naked bike is (in most cases) pretty much a sport bike without all the fairings, windscreen, etc. In fairness to your question, there isn't that much of a difference from one bike to the next.
